We figured out that the hotel had a swimming pool, gym and a sauna including breakfast and so on… 😀 We went on a look around and stopped when we saw the sight from the thirty something floor and we had a photo-shoot 🙂

Maaany pictures 😀 After the photo-shoot we went to meeting Thea’s oldest sister. She’s probably the nicest person I’ve ever met in my entire life. Full of energy and so inspiring.

After spending most of the day with her we went back to the hotel and went swimming before going to the cinema where we saw The Hangover 3 :D, and we also tried a spooky lift that had view all over Oslo 🙂

Adventure In Oslo ~ Day Two

Day two of four. This day was mostly spent shopping, and I also went to the American Embassy this day, and it was a long line before I was let in. Inside I had a bit more of waiting; and I delivered all paperwork and passport.

Waking up earlier than Thea and her brother was “fun” like always since I’m such a day person -.- but the view made everything better. Look at those buildings… Buildings in Bodø is so ugly compared to that!
After I had been at the embassy I met up with Thea and her brother and her brother took us to this american diner place named The Nighthawk Diner, and the food was awesome!! I ate Eggs Benedickt for breakfast… Just look How Yummy this looks! 😀

As mentioned in the beginning I said this was a shopping spree day. 🙂 We met up with Mia once again and went around Oslo‘s streets.

We teenagers always love fooling around. Since Thea and I decided to make this trip our Photo Story Norwegian task we had to make clips and pictures so… Here’s a sneak peak 😉

We’re Talking Two Days & My Own Domain

Image

Soon the day of arrival is here . . . In two days I’ll be leaving all alone from home and travel to Los Angeles. My feelings are rushing just thinking about it now. I’m arriving the 23rd July and I’m going to stay in Lomita. I got my host family two weeks ago, and I’m beyond words excited about meeting them.

I’m planning on keeping all of you updated throughout my journey, but I’m not going to have a too strict publishing plan. I’m going to manage at least once a week where I’ll have a post that I’m writing on through out the week.

Domain

I’ve rewarded myself with a early birthday present. 😀 If you go and check out the address line in your web browser you see that there’s no more “wordpress.com” I got my own Domain 😀 Super Happy! I finally own this site, it’s mine ❤

Well, Good to be back, but now I have to sleep because I have a dentist appointment tomorrow at 12.

We went almost straight to Starbucks after landing in Oslo; and do you see the heart on my frappuccino… It was this girl sorta flirting with me… I’m the only one who got a heart! 😀

The Big Books Tag (Tagged by Elin)

Image

This is a tag in the book community that is going around. I got tagged by a good book friend of mine Elin. This tag is about this…

  • Find the five thickest books in your bookshelf that you have read.
  • The two thickest books in your TBR PILE ( books you have not read yet).

Five Thickest Books I’ve Read:

  1. Breaking DawnStephenie Meyer (780 pages)
    Image
  2. Wonderstruck, Brian Selznick (637 pages)
    Image
  3. Sirkelen (The Circle), Mats Strandberg & Sara Elfgren (520 pages)
    Image
  4. Divergent, Veronica Roth (487 pages)
    Image
  5. City Of BonesCassandra Clare (442 pages)
    Image

Two Thickest TBR:

  1. His Dark MaterialsPhillip Pullman (1 102 pages)
    Image
  2. A Game Of ThronesGeorge R.R. Martin (790 pages)
    Image

As you see; I’m not the biggest “Big Book” reader there is… I’m personally not the biggest fan of thick heavy books, but I’m starting to like them more now as I get older 😀

PS! I will soon post a post from when I and a friend of mine spent a nice weekend in Oslo… and it was extremely fun! 😀

Time Passes Quickly When You’re Having “FUN”

Aside

Time passes quickly when you’re having “fun” . . . If only that was the case. I’ve been away lately because of school and exams; so I had to do some prioritizing. Along with that I had to finish the last part of paperwork before I’m leaving for LA.

Image

I’m soon leaving today it’s only 21 days left 😀 On Tuesday I’m going to Oslo for my interview at the american embassy. I’m super exited and scared as well 😀 It’s all these preparations before leaving. Well, soon I’m in the states 😀 Can’t wait!

387 pages  2012  Sci-fi//The Lunar Chronicles

ImageImageImageImageImage

“Humans and androids crowd the raucous streets of New Beijing. A deadly plague ravages the population. From space, the ruthless lunar people watch, waiting to make their move. No one knows that Earth’s fate hinges on one girl. . . .

Cinder, a gifted mechanic, is a cyborg. She’s a second-class citizen with a mysterious past, reviled by her stepmother and blamed for her stepsister’s illness. But when her life becomes intertwined with the handsome Prince Kai’s, she suddenly finds herself at the center of an intergalactic struggle, and a forbidden attraction. Caught between duty and freedom, loyalty and betrayal, she must uncover secrets about her past in order to protect her world’s future.”

Cinder is the sort of book that you chose by its cover; it’s just amazing and so appealing that you have to pick it up. Believe me this book was amazing! I loved everything about it, and Marissa Meyer is fantastic.

The plot in this book is based on the classic fairytale of Cinderella, and Cinders name comes from that as well. What I liked mostly about the plot that also made this book as good as it was is the fact that the author managed to keep some of the original classic, but still filled in with the whole new commonwealth place and the cyborgs. Marissa also didn’t go all that heavy on the sci-fi cyborg theme, she kept the story interesting at all times.

The characters… I love Cinder. I swear that I’ll marry her one day, haha 😀 She’s a really well built character that has a mysterious past. The way the author managed to make her the way she was is just amazing. I loved all the other characters as well. Marissa made characters that was easy to analyze and understand; and the development is just perfecto.

The story developed really quickly and the author didn’t dwell on the details. She kept the tension when the twists came and went, and this book had twists that turned my mind blindly. The chapters also were changed perspectives sometimes, and when they did they change… it was at the perfect time.

This is the type of cliffhanger books… It ended on the edge, and I just had to pick up Scarlet. I’m about 30% in so far and love it! This book is highly recommended (5 of 5 stars).
